Who is the most "perfect" band out there?? I'm talking technique-wise,musicianship-wise,as a whole. We're talkin' live AND in the studio.

Mine? The "Dan!"

Steely,that is.

The most perfect band I've heard yet has to be "Punch Brothers".

Rush isn't a bad suggestion, though. Neither is King's X.

Anything involving John Zorn; particularly, Masada.

To each his own?

Steely Dan rarely had the same band together from song to song on an album, let alone live

Here, here...love 'em to death but they haven't been "a band" since the early '70s.

Dave Holland 5-tet?
Chris Potter Underground?

Voodoo is one of those "perfect" albums to me. I fear D'Angelo may never put out another album though

Not a band per se, but some of the work John Patitucci and Brian Blade have done together... I honestly have never heard anything better, whether on Johns albums or with Wayne Shorter.

They're a perfect match IMO.
