Phil Lynott: The Rocker

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey,

I've a few pages left to read in Phil Lynott: The Rocker and it's been great so far. I've always known Thin Lizzy's music but I never knew all the turmoil that went on behind the scenes.

I'd really recommend it, not just for Lizzy fans but any fans of Rock.

its pretty good, you should also read "my boy" between the two of them thats pretty much warts and all. the rocker doesnt go too deep, if memory serves.

One of the foot notes in "The Rocker" is that it used to be the only Thin Lizzy biography but Phil's mother Philomena wrote the "My Boy".

When I think of it you're right, the Rocker is more about Lizzy with a bit of Phil's boyhood and then some of his solo career without digging too deep.

actually I stand corrected. you need to add "the ballad of the thin man" by stuart bailie. reading all three of those should cover everything. there'll be some overlap of course.

just pulled ballad from my bookshelf just now, think i'll read it again, its been a few years.
