Theres of course the sam ash and guitar center in cherry hill, but i really hate them. My favorite is Scott Street Music in downtown Riverside, next to beadscape if you're familiar with the area. Do you have any in Philly?

I don't have any favorites. I move to Toms River in September and have been to busy to scout arround. Guitar Center and Sam Ash in Cherry Hill are the only ones Ihave visited. Tom River Music is mostly Fender and Peavey.

OH this place is a little ways away but they have some high end stuff.

I never heard of Scott Street Music. I might have to give them a try sometime.

There's also a place called the Marlton Guitar Gallery in the Marlton Crossing Shopping Center in (of course), Marlton NJ. I've never been in there and I'm not entirely sure they're still open any more. I remember looking at their web site in the not too distant past but when I just tried it it wasn't up any longer. If I go by it I'll take a look.

There's also a pretty new bass shop just across the river in Bensalem, PA. I haven't been there yet myself but I'll probably wait until I have a "real" need to go though. I just got two basses in December so anything I buy now require a really smooth and polished sell job with my Watchful and Inquisitive Financial Executive (AKA W.I.F.E.) (sorry, honey )

Bass Specialties - Bensalem, PA

Bass Specialties is a great store -lots of very cool gear, many great clinics (I did one a few months back), Wooten, Veasley, Anthony Wellington. We're (EA) is bringing Hugh McDonald in the near future. Anthony Wellington is teaching there once a month.

This is a store that give some serious G.A.S

You might want to try Russo's music in the Trenton/Hamilton area. Their prices arent anything to write home about but their selection is pretty good. I HATE HATE HATE the Sam Ash and GC in Cherry Hill. I've had nothing but crappy service and bad experiences in both.

That's what I've heard. A friend of mine from work knows him and his old band really well and since he's a pretty good amateur photographer Glenn has invited him over to take some pictures. I know he did the shots from the last Victor Wooten clinic that are on the store's web site. I was supposed to go over there with him for that one but I was too busy at work and couldn't take the afternoon off to go.

His old band was pretty good too. I only got to see them once but loved the show.

If you're into vintage basses, check out www.goodguysguitars.com . Kevin really is a good guy. The prices are a bit higher than eBay, but he is very honest, and very knowledge-able.
