Interesting, yes, but I'm wondering if it tapers the edges.

They have a web site, and I believe you have to taper the edges yourself. the cool thing with these is you can use gift cards from stores as picks. Also, they sell a bunch of different types of plastic and delrin on their site.

I highly doubt it would work on anything thick enough to use on a bass. 1.0mm is to thin for me.

With out tapered edges it would be useless too.

Another cure for a problem that doesn't exist.

Not worth it for me, $24.95 + $13.50 for shipping compared to £4 for 12 dunlop tortex picks which would last me years, might be ok if you get through loads of picks.

The 0.80mm sheets would work fine for me if it was cheaper.

Tapered edges would require an emery board and about 30 seconds of filing.

^This.

Having made all sorts of DIY punches over the years, I'd say that'll fail before any savings have been made.

As a gift for a desperately cheap guitarist it might work though.

Can't remember what the 50 pack of 1mm black nylon Dunlops cost me back in the day (less than that punch IIRC), but ~90% of those are still in use after 5 years. The rest have been lost .

Regards
Sam
