Hey guys, im a bit stumped here.
Ive got a custom pickup being made for my epi - SG, and cant think of what would look better, so i'll throw it to the wolves.
What do you guys think would look better on this guitar (bridge pup only)
Keep the black-open coil look?
Go with the zebra open coil look?
Nickle plated gibson-bucker look?

The lack of the upper horn and the fact the strap pin is at the base of the rear of the neck, is a pain.
With the strap i use, and the dunlop lock straps, there isnt much space for movement, so it holds it pretty well.
Otherwise the neckdive is annoying, but its not a heavy neck, or guitar at all, so you really dont notice the extra weight being held up by your fretting hand.
Weight-wise its soo much better than the Les Pauls, i feel the weight of the les paul alot more than i do on my stingrays! (my guitarist uses a LP)

The reason I said the zebra wouldn't look good is because you have that Punisher skull there and then nothing else. So you have a giant "block" of white amidst a sea of black. The only things that would look good would be more black or more "blocks" of white. If you had a bunch of smaller Punisher skulls on the body, then the zebra pickups would fit in more. |

Made a few other minor tweaks, took off the pickguard and the rythmn/treble thing. Chrome switch top, gold socket and the white knobs.
The wiring is all new now too, with CTS pots (500K) and a gibson push pull pot (white tone control, pulling switches the bridge to single coil, the bridge pup has 3 coils, one of which gets added to one of the humbucker ones when in single coil mode so it has a great single coil tone). Orange drop caps, 0.033 on the bridge, 0.022 on the neck. Switchcraft switch and socket.
