stayed in his shot gun shack on the old hopson plantation outside of clarksdale a few years back , it had a large mural painted of him at his piano inside the living room area. he was truely the last of the living ledgens, r.i.p. pinetop. i'm sure that heaven can use the boogie !

I remember seeing Pinetop with Muddy Waters back in 73
at the Colonial Tavern Toronto

They don't make them like that anymore. But hope so.

I saw him play in Halifax 1990. He seemed frail then, until he started playing, and playing. I recall he really stretched out his sets. Solid, professional and clear.

It was an honour to see 'the real thing'.
RIP Mr Perkins.

May he rest in peace. Too many of the original Blues Greats are sadly
gone. He certainly paid his dues and had a good long run.
