Pins and Needles in hands / arms

Sign in to disble this ad
I woke up on Tuesday with pins and needles on the underside of my left arm / pinky / ring finger - thought I'd just slept on it funny, but it persisted throughout the day and kept going through Wednesday.

Seems to have gone now though - but my RIGHT hand now has pins and needles in it! More my palm / the same fingers + my thumb...

I'm no hypochondriac, but I'm gonna go and get this checked out. I'm worried about CTS / RSI - and as I'm a programmer and a bassist, I use my hands / wrists a HELL of a lot!

The only thing I can link this to is that I went to see a Bon Jovi gig on Sunday - was stood up in a crowd for about 6 hours + about 3 hours of walking before that... I was in utter agony (feet, lower back, legs, knees) - I'm hoping it's just a trapped nerve from that! I've not been typing / playing bass any more than usual (in fact, I've been playing bass a lot LESS as we've been having some band problems recently).

The only other thing is that I'm trying to change my left hand technique whilst playing at the moment - after being given some good advice on here about it

I'm now keeping my wrist as straight as possible - pushing my elbow back if needed... that's it basically.
