I can't stop listening to the Pixies. I first heard them when I was 11 or 12, and now at 32, they rock just as hard as they used to. Those albums were such an eruption. One of the things that make the Pixies so great is that they're too weird to fit in. They're a band apart. The songwriting (mainly Francis) is top notch, and the simplicity is often deceiving. Try writing a Pixies song, try to catch that vibe!
After they split only two songs stand out: Hang on to your ego and Los Angeles. They're supposedly trying to write a new album....
