Places to check out in Minnesota (?)

I just moved to St. Paul, and I was wondering what cool bass-related things are around here. I went to my first ever Guitar Center and was amazed to see how small Warwicks are, and I saw one other music store but didn't go in yet. Are there any cool clubs or bars that have local groups playing? Any other music stores worth checking out? Pawn shops have anything? I'm from SD, which has none of this, so any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

.... and if you have some cash to spend, Friday night at the bar at the St. Paul Grill in the St. Paul hotel, followed by a steak is about the best thing going IMO!

My Music store in golden valley hwy 55 and winnetka ave is my local favorite. Planet Bass in maple grove has aguilar and modulus and other exotic basses see the web pages... see a NBC cameraman get hit in the head with a guitar!!!!
