A search on "protune" turned up nothing...
The app is only 99 cents so I decided to try it. It's awesome! I just tuned & intonated 2 basses (short scale & long scale) and the results are consistent and repeatable. I verified the tuning with a Planet Waves clamp-on chromatic tuner. That clamp-on tuner is useful but it drives me crazy because on the short-scale Mikro sometimes it insists that the E string is tuned to B and I have no idea why. ProTune doesn't seem to have that issue.
I don't know if ProTune is absolutely 100% accurate; maybe someone with actual pro tuning hardware can try it and check for accuracy. For 99 cents though, this is by far the best paid app I've gotten for the iPhone.
There's an optional Buzz Feiten Tuning System add-on for ProTune which I didn't try. $19.99. Maybe someone can explain what it does beyond a basic tuning, which is all I care about.
Me very impressed.

No I do not work for Planet Waves or D'Addario.
