Play bass for a long time??

Sign in to disble this ad
question for the people with more experience than me. Now ive been playing about 8 years or so. Accomplished alot of my goals, Lots of gigs, lots of recording, and a really cool rig! My question however. If you have been playing for a while, do you have calus's? After all this time, i dont develop them at all, i just blister alot. I never seem to get them, even after all this time. Its pretty annoying because sometimes with alot of gigs or sessions, i get some nasty blisters.

Anyone else have skin like mine? suggestions besides just toughing it out? i dont mind doing that, but if there is another way...

Try soaking your fingers in methylated spirits. Rock climbers do it and it does work for hardening up your fingertips.
