Played behind Grammy Nominee last weekend

I had the pleasure of playing behind Ledesi, a grammy nominated R&B/ Jazz singer from New Orleans.
She was the Guest performer at a fundraiser my group was hired for.
No big deal about me or anything, I just thought you guys might like to check her stuff out. She seemed like a real nice person and can sure sing her ass off.
She and Anika Noni Rose from "Dreamgirls" did "stormy weather" as a duet tibute to Lena Horne that gave me goosebumps.

yeah I heard some of Ledisi's stuff too, +1 on that. That girl is good

+1 on the Ledisi recommendation. She's amazing. I used to regularly hit her weekly $5 show at Cafe du Nord in SF and it always felt like theft to pay so little to hear her (and her band). As talented a singer as I've ever seen or heard, great scat, amazing intonation, presence. Does she live in NO now? She's originally out of Oakland.

Chaka has said that if she could choose her own successor, it would be Ledisi. She is one of the best out there.

Man mad props to you! Shes one of my fav singers. She had actually been singing ALOT before she got a deal.
