Tonight on ABC's "The Bachelor" I'll be playing with artist Kate Voegele. We taped this in the fall, and it's airing now.

Trio setting in a Night Club for one of the dates. Hopefully I (and my 69 Jazz) get some good face time

cheers

Cool man, congrats! The funny thing is my fiance is a fanatical watcher of that series, which means by default I watch them too, so I would have seen you play anyway and not known it! Thx for the heads-up.

thanks for the kind words folks. i really appreciate it. i was happy i got a quick but decent couple of shots in there, it was a fun experience. i really do feel blessed to be able to have done something like that.

funny side note - i had to sign a form saying if i told anyone who the people were i could be sued up to and including 5 million. fun stuff

good thing i kept my mouth shut

Saw ya, very cool. You looked composed and professional. As a percussionist I seriously dug that your guy was playing a cajon and a shaker, that's a cool small-room jazz percussion approach.

Good work!

thanks man. yeah those cajon's are way cool. and you're exactly right, add a shaker or tambourine on the floor, and you got a great little cocktail kit.

those things have really become popular in recent years. a couple years ago i'd never heard of them, and now every acoustic or small act has one.

i love the responses people give to them as well.

"is that a BOX you're playing !?!"
"a cajones, you're playing the genitals?"
"so that thing's a drumkit in a box, wow that's fancy!"

and other such hilarity. i'm sure you've heard em all too Cyrus, you percussionists sure know how to find some obscure (and strangely ) named instruments
