Playing bass without a bass?

Sign in to disble this ad
Now I know of course I cannot play bass without a bass (DUH)! But I'm about to leave town with my family for a couple days. I am not going to be able to bring my bass with me . Any suggestions to what I can do (maybe some sort of exercises?) that will help me in my bass playing while I'm away from my bass?!

Dunno where your at on the instrument, but when I was starting out I tied a rubberband around my thumb and other fingers and practiced stretching the band. Using progressively thicker bands my fingers got a lot stronger. That might work for you.

Try airbass...
Or put your right arm in front of you, pie/4 principal angle in II quadrant, then play your bass by just fingering your left hand on your right arm, which would be a arm-board
