I was browsing YouTube listening to some Ivan Lins, and came across this from the Harlequin album. Here you have one of the best bassists in the world doing just what the song needs and no more. Nothing fancy at all, except that groove deeper than the Grand Canyon. Beyond the Storm

He just has such great timing and note choice that he often fits in "fancy" parts so well that they fit in with the song perfectly. |
