Playlist for jam session with newbies

I am having an outdoor party and a little jam session. There will be at least one capable guitarist, one drummer and me with a bass, plus more less capable guitarists etc.

In order to make this work, I think I need to put together a set of say about 10 really very simple tunes that I can print out as chord sheets, as tab and optionally as notation to prevent total anarchy descending. I'll then give these to people to look at a week ahead of the party.

What do people think, has anyone managed to make this work in the past. Any suggestions for numbers? We can't play 12 bar blues all afternoon... (ok, why not!)

Will all people on the party participate in the jamming? If not, it would probably be boring to sit there watching you jammers struggle to play songs you've never done before. Hence it would be good if you could have some kind of chord sheets available so you have something to follow. Tell the participants to think of some songs as well and to prepare some chord sheets.

It's a little hard to give any song recommendations as you didn't tell anything about your music taste.
