Anyone know of any good bass/music/gear podcast that are out there? I've been looking but haven't found anything decent yet.

Thanks

Basscast: the podcast for bass players

Funny you should ask.

I have just launched Basscast, the podcast for bass players and lovers of the bottom end.

Each edition has news about bass oriented gear, CDs, DVDs, books. There's also a feature CD and tribute to an influential player.

Basscast 1 features Victor Wooten and Charles Mingus.
Basscast 2 features Glenn Hughes and Flea (and is co-hosted by regular TBer Petebass).
There is more episode information at: http://basscast.libsyn.com

The easiest way to subscribe is:
1. Download iTunes 4.9 from Apple, if you don't have it already.
2. Click on "Podcasts" at the right side.
3. Click on "Advanced" on the menu bar.
4. Click on "Subscribe" and copy this into the dialogue box:
http://basscast.libsyn.com/rss

Feedback, news items and show suggestions will be appreciated.

Only podcast I listen to is TWiT. It's basically the original cast of The Screen Savers, minus the eye candy Morgan Webb and . . . the red-haired one.

Well . . . having Leo Laporte and Patrick Norton on the same broadcast at the same time is pretty flippin' sweet. It satisfies my TSS cravings now that G4 has completely ruined TechTV.

And I can get my Webb fix on X-Play anyway. But what happened to Red I wonder . . . ?

Sounds good. Halfway through first podcast, sounds great. Once I get over the funny accents of course

I'm actually listening to it right now. Do I really sound like that?

Thanks for the invitation David. It was nice to be able to participate.

Yeah - but at least on radio no one can see your mullet.

My Avatar makes me giggle but it's seriously time to change it! Is Eric Bana so unrecognisable with a mullet?

Haha I love the Australian accents.

I'm listening to Aeroplane right now in the podcast. So far this has been really good.

Basscast 3

We're recording Basscast 3 tomorrow - hopefully it will be up by Friday.

The feature CD is "Silver Rain" by Marcus Miller. Step Back in Time is "Word of Mouth" by Jaco Pastorius.
