I think someone needs to do a photo shop job on your pic, and see how many people LOL out loud.

If you're comfortable, the rest of the world will pick up on the vibe. Try it. If you don't like it, shed the melody and play over the changes to Mingus' tune to make yourself feel better about the whole thing. |

| | | | Pork pie FTW! I'm known as a hat guy, especially when I put on my bowler and a white union suit for our "Tribute to Clockwork Orange" set. |

And while I am a white guy, I am also bald (shaved head) and have never worn a pony tail. So your mileage may vary.

(The reaction is that people are going to laugh at you for trying to attract attention to yourself by wearing a funny hat) |

Try it, and don't care what others think if the look pleases You.
I'm not a hat guy, but one thing I can't understand about military style flat berets. Why do people who haven't been in the armed forces that use berets wear them?
And my god, the French style, whatsitname, with the funny nipple on the middle, folded on the side like a military beret?
I wore mine with pride when I was serving in the tank batallion, but then again we had to take the oath to wear them and at that time we were about the only ones that had berets. No one wore black as we did though. Some might argue that Finnish military isn't that big of a deal since every able man is required to do his service and it's also open to women who want to serve, but our fathers, mothers, grandfathers and grandmothers kept this tiny corner of Europe independent.
So, why the military berets?
Just my 0.02€
Sam
PS. Are You related to the original drummer of H.I.M, Pätkä? The resemblence is striking .

If you dig it, I dig it. Dig it?

BTW, a pork pie is a type of fedora (it's a particularly shaped crown and brim).
You can always reshape the brim and crown if you don't like the porkpie look.
