I've recently been acquiring quite a few instruments lately that are not basses, so I was thinking that we should show off all our instruments, including basses. I'll get a pic up when I get off work.
1. Brawley 6 String Bass
2. Cort Action V Fretless Bass
3. Dean Playmate 5 String Acoustic Bass
4. Ibanez Acoustic/Electric Guitar
5. Squier Affinity Fat Strat
6. Magnum Banjo (probably about 50 years old)
7. Violin of sorts with a Lion on the "headstock"
8. Big ol' wine jug
9. Ludwig Vistalyte Drum Set (1972) with 3 cowbells!!!!!
10. Soon to be a Chapman Stick w/ MIDI
11. Really bad bongos that I got down in Mexico.
12. One of those things that look like a fish and you slide a stick across (name please?)
13. Roland Electric Piano of sorts
I'm workin on building a washtub bass and a Whamola.
I can play the bass and guitar well, but man is violin hard. The worst part about violin is that if you suck, it just sounds AWFUL. I'm pretty good at drums too I guess, just takes some coordination. My Banjo technique is terrible because I just flamenco the strings ala Claypool and I don't do the rolls but man is it fun to dink around on.

| | | 1) Rickenbacker 4003
2) homebrew 4-string fretless made from Carvin parts and Bart pups
3) Fender Duo-Sonic guitar with Telecaster neck
4) Yamaha acoustic guitar
5) Alesis Ion synthesizer
6) Moog Taurus pedals
7) didgeridoo
8) ancient wooden tongue drum
9) eight million little percussion toys (rain stick, shakers, Eggz, etc)
10) wood flute
11) some ancient harmonica of some sort
12) a variety of software/virtual instruments played via an Edirol keyboard controller
Wow, that's it? I'm gonna get totally shamed in this thread.
I need to get a Fender Strat and a Jazz bass to round things out a bit. And maybe another synth or two (I want a DX7 for nostalgia purposes, and Moog's new synth looks yummy.) |

But it's funny, I don't even GAS for basses anymore really. I mean I wouldn't mind a SR HH or Rickenbacker or Wal or 62 J-bass, but I'm really not saving for any of them. I just got the Stick which drained all my cash, but the next thing I want is a 12 string Takamine or some Tablas or a Roland PK-5 or something like that. A MiniMoog would be sweet.

My wife told me that once she's done with school and has gotten a job, she will reward me for all my patience and support by buying me a Minimoog Voyager. I'm not quite sure if she was just kidding or not, but I hope she wasn't! |

So I take it you (like me) are a Geddy Lee fan? I see you got a Rick and some Taurus and you want a Moog.

Idle speculation though.
And yeah, Geddy was a big influence on me. He's still my fave. |

Keyboard:
