This was inspired by the blooming awful live version of Subculture by New Order i'm listening (or cringing) to at the mo.

Post the worst performances by your fave bands here! Any song. Tell us what you think makes it bad.

Here's the one I've got on now- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8hly2PxNFA

Shame that the vocals are completely screwed up- it's my fave song of New Order.

Anything Soundgarden did on the Superunknown tour. Soundgarden kicked ass, but live, Chris Cornell was too drunk to do anything

Man, the people dancing on that New Order vid are awesome!

They are not a band I "really" like, but I saw this recently: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OdaZArPPEic
I do think, however, that the singer does a good job with a bad situation (laryngitis).

I saw Maylene and the Sons of Disaster recently, and their bassist played drums because the drummer was at a wedding. The bassist/drummer was so slow. It really messed up the music. Even the guitarists and bassist were laughing while playing. No vid for that, though.

It's funny you say that because it was the bass player for Soundgarden that seemed drunk. During Lollapalooza when they were touring with Metallica the bassist shouted "I know all of you hillbillies are here just to see Metallica". Yes we were in WV.

What a complete douchebag.

Ben Shepherd was my favorite member of Soundgarden, I loved his bass playing.

Hillbillies? I guess I like him even more now

This video of Beat Surrender by the Jam - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mM52AWA0ftw Paul Weller rickenbackerless with make up, Bruce Foxton not only playing a piece of bedroom furniture but miming to what is clearly Paul Wellers voice on the backing vocal. I won't even start on the pianist and backing singer.

I saw Johnny Winter that was so screwed up, he had to be led on stage with one band mate on either side of him, had his guitars put on him while he sat on a stool, could barely sing or talk. sad

The last Jeff Beck tour he was just off, could not play Scatter Brain & some more difficult songs. Uninspired performance
