It Ain't Over till It's Over - Airbourne

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Yaz5wr5iK4

Insanely loud and idiotically fast Australian hard rock FTW!!

It just feels like the song drills into your brains and corrupts every cell there. Makes you wanna swing the nearest TV through the window.

My drummer turned me on to these guys recently.

Fine, fine, Detroit proto-punk. Death.

I am sure most people are fairly sick of hearing this song, but it's been an earworm to me

Whether you dig their schtick or not, they are a ridiculously tight band.

I pretty much like every genre of music and while looking for something totally unrelated came across this Trilok Gurtu track almost by accident. Gave it a whirl and it's got right under my skin for some reason, even though it's not the usual stuff I listen to. I think it's the fantastic percussion and syncopation http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6u7b...eature=related

Like the OP, I also went through a nostalgia trip with 'Roundabout' a week or two back. Spooky! Found I could still play it almost note for note after not touching it since one of my bands stopped covering it around 30 years ago - a few fluffed notes but not too bad...and this when I can't remember what I came upstairs for these days

Pretty much the entire new Maxwell album "blacksummers night". Especially dig the last track "Phoenix rise". Derrick Hodge and Chris Dave are the new grooviest. If you aren't hip to them get hip.

Also Erykah Badu's "love of my life". Sickness.

lately for me it's been

ZZ Top - Master of sparks

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdP0Nb8Bm94
when the creepy slide guitar bursts in for the verse is just so unexpected and awesome, mixed with the weird choked vocals it's just about perfect. I CRAVE this song on a regular basis.
O'death - Home

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGu7cG9ZfJo
It's what I always imagine Neil Young sounds like, except way better. This chorus just sticks with you for days (I love Neil Young btw)
Russian Circles - Carpe

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54e2ZbiLems
Dave Turncrantz drumming, enough said. (yeah, I actually get his drumming stuck in my head)

Some of the best ZZ Top songs are the ones you NEVER heard on the radio. IMHO.

Gets stuck in my head all day, at least a couple of days per week. Those of you who can understand the lyrics, enjoy!
