Poster For Show

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey, can somebody here help me and my band out and make us an advertisement poster for our next show(s)?

We're playing 2 shows on the 20th and 21st and we need some posters but none of us are any good at making posters...

We're a grunge/hard rock band. Our name is No Arrow. We're a 3 piece band (bass/guitar/drums (guitarists sings))

The 20th show is all ages but the 21st isn't and both shows are free. We start around 7:00/7:30 pm

here's our myspace

www.myspace.com/noarrowmusic

Thanks.

Some basic "rules" for a good poster:

- Keep everything as simple as possible
- The more important the text the larger the font (i.e. band name/logo should be printed with the largest size possible, date/time, venue and price slightly smaller. Other info can be printed in a small font size)
- Make the poster is easily readable. Use strong contrasts in the colour choices. Avoid shadow effects, background images (if not as "watermark"), strange fonts text in different colours if that makes it harder to read it quickly.

One should be able to get the message from the poster in looking at it for less than 1 second. The ones who get interested after the first second take the time to read the rest too.
