Potential scam?

So, I have my Ibanez up on craigslist for sale and I got an email asking if I still have "the item". I replied saying I do, and I got this email in return.
"Hello,

Thanks for the mail and i will want you to know that i would have love to come down and check it but i'm from NC , and i have been looking for this item, I will like you to tell me if you accept check or Money order as for the payment and also i will arrange for the shipping."

Couple things that put my scam alert on: He never mentions he's looking for the bass at all. He says he is looking for the item though. Who the hell goes looking for this bass? haha. The wording is funny also I think.

I told him I'd be willing to ship it to him, and would take a money order but not a check.

Any thoughts?

He will now tell you that he is going to send a money order for WAY more than the amount of the item and you should wire the balance back to him. You will get to keep some of it for your troubles. The money order or whatever will be counterfeit.
