I thought that this would be the most appropriate place to post this. I know that there many different places were bands practice. My band practices in an old school in a room that we rent and keep our larger equipment there. It is relatively secure. Others do the garage or basement thing. The biggest convience of having a place like this would be the ability to leave drum kits set up. No one really likes to port drum kits twice a week for practice.
Currently I am thinking about opening a music facility for lessons and kindermusic that would also provide recording/practice space for a bands. The problem I see is that few groups would want to port equipment in and out (I would not have room for storage). I was thinking about providing a room that was stocked with a dum kit, amps, a small PA and so on so that band could just come in with their intruments, sit down, plug in and jam. Has anyone heard or used a facility that provides a service like this? I can see the good and bad side of facility such as this. I just want to know if they exist and if anyone uses them, how much they pay. Thanks. |
