I love Guilds, criminally under-rated instruments, and always have been. One of the few things FMIC bought without screwing it up any more than all the previous owners had done too.

John | Guilds are amazing. My mom has a 1961 dreadnaught acoustic and it is hands down the best sounding acoustic that I have ever played or heard.

John | frankly i have never used one but i completely aware of a great name , this particular guitar is totally mysterious and it kinda surprising that the guys at fender don't know anything about what has been going on before them

Model names, designations, specs, etc. were subject to change at any time. Record keeping at Westerly (Rhode Island, where the factory was for a LONG time) was spotty and inconsistent too. I think that about ALL Guild ever did was build great guitars. They never were good at marketing them in any way.
When FMIC bought Guild at the end of 1995, they were the about the fifth company to own them after Alfred Dronge, the founder, died. Lots of record keeping was lost along the way. Besides, it's not really Fender's thing to maintain history.
