if that clip blew you away, maybe you'll like the fact that les was almost the bass player for metallica and les went to school with hammet

Wow, I'm just realizing that that was 12 years ago... time flies huh?

What was he using back then(not his basses his amps)? His set up seems a bit small, It is Woodstock...

With... uhm... WHO singing?

I'm sorry, the cover of "The Thing that Should not Be" was OK, but kinda sucked because of the vocals... they should have weirded it up a bit more.

Les can't do metal vocals.

Neither can Hetfield anymore. Hell, Metallica should get Clay Aiken to sing for them now with the crap their playing.

Heh. It's too bad, Hetfield's voice was awesome, especially on Puppets, Justice, and the Black Album.

I read on TB somewhere that Cliff Burton actually taught Les how to slap originally. I don't know if that's true, or if it was a sarcastic remark, but it's interesting to note.

I think it was a sarcastic remark in the "Can bassists like Cliff Burton and John Myung slap" thread...

That is Awesome. I found it on google videos a while back, tried to leanr it, but i cant slap so i gave up :P. I think it would be sweet to hear Primus play Orion, or even Pulling Teeth, although it will never happen, it would have been nice.
