I was on my way home from a tour when Mark Farner called to tell us that John had died. Mark had done a tour with John, Todd Rundgren, Christopher Cross, Alan Parsons, Godfrey Townsend and Steve Murphy called A Walk Down Abbey Road. It was a great tribute to The Beatles. Jack Bruce played bass after John died. |

He had also worked with Grand Funk Railroad, Prince, Lee Greenwood and several others. We got to know Mark pretty well. I actually got to jam with him at a rehearsal in Nashville and did some work with him. |
