Hard to believe that it's been 9 years since he died. I was on my way home from a tour when Mark Farner called to tell us that John had died. Mark had done a tour with John, Todd Rundgren, Christopher Cross, Alan Parsons, Godfrey Townsend and Steve Murphy called A Walk Down Abbey Road. It was a great tribute to The Beatles. Jack Bruce played bass after John died.

The guy that was managing our band at that time was Mark Farner's road manager. He had also worked with Grand Funk Railroad, Prince, Lee Greenwood and several others. We got to know Mark pretty well. I actually got to jam with him at a rehearsal in Nashville and did some work with him.

Is the show on Ovation TV the same as An Ox's Tale linked to on Netflix?

Judging from the trailer on Ovation, I'd say yes.

Ok, thanks. I saw An Ox's Tale online somewhere last summer. It was pretty good.
