purchase over the internet?

Hi guys! I am considering of making a bass purchase over the internet, from a guy not an online store and I'd like to know your experiences and your opinion of which is the best way to insure myself

Well, its difficult from your distance at best. The biggest issues is just like the $bay sellers: you have to "buy the seller" first. Meaning that if your seller is well known and has decent feedback, they're probably O.K. There are firms out there that will hold your payment in escrow until you are satisfied and release it to the seller. That's a definite possibility if the seller agrees.

Barring these factors, I would be very hesitant to send money to someone I don't know or can't verify.

Isn't there a fee for such companies? So if I am going to do it straight from my account to his account, I'll just have to take the risk... I am considering my options...
