Purchased a Peavey t-60, what happened to their forum?

300bucks, hardshell case, natural ash body maple neck/board. I'll be honest, I purchased it mostly because I thought it looked too cool in a quirky kind of way.
So far love it.. still dont really understand the out-of-phase switch.. or specifically the tonal point of it is, but easy to overlook and I love that I can kill the volume on one pickup and have a kill switch(ala gibson sg/lp controls) while also being able to go from single to hum on either pickups w/ the tone nobs.. WAY TOO COOL! It needs a setup and the low e-string when open is rather annoying.. making a massive floppy DERRR(best I can describe) sound. Though I suspect a bigger string gauge would help since it is my understanding that the scale length is a little shorter then standard, that being my only peeve of it.

Anyhoo.. I've seen people suggest going to peaveyt60's forum so, I did.. or tried to. For awhile now the register ability was either hidden or removed for whatever reason, I assume just a weird bug and you can't even view the forum unless you are registered... Fast foward to yesterday I decide to check in and I was able to successfully register! YES FINALLY! Wait a day for an admin to confirm the registration and today I got it. Go to the board index... Well its down. DOH! Okay fine.. It happens. Checked in again a few minutes ago and I see this.

"This Forum is now permanently closed. It breaks my heart to see dissension among friends at the mere mention of allowing ex-forum members back into the fold. I'm sorry, but I just don't want to deal with the drama again."

It is a sad day. I have several t60s and have been on that forum for a while. There are some great folks there and it kind of got to be like home on the net. Your first problem with sighning up was due to spammers. We got hit hard, so new membership was shut down for a while. This time it is shut down for good because 2 forumites couldn't get along and disrupted the whole group. Constant drama which had not been an issue previously. Most everyone there are great people. I hope it's not gonna be permanant, like Mike(Moderator) said. It's like loosing a bunch of friends at one time.

T-60s rule! Always wanted one ever since I saw Rich Gilbert play a red one with Human Sexual Response...he got so carried away at one point that he started uncontrollably DROOLING on his guitar!

A studio where I work occasionally has an ash-body/rosewood fingerboard T-60 that I love to borrow every now & then. It's not nearly as nice as any of my guitars, but there's still something very cool about the feel & sounds it gets.

Anyone ever see the Peavey T-Jr? I think it may have only ever existed as a prototype: basically a single pickup T-60 with an ultra-short scale, strung up 8va. Sick.

Peavey T-Jr

I have a T-Jr. I bought it a while back. It is a neat guitar. I called Peavey to find out about it and they didn't have much info. There is a serial # and standard Peavey logo on the headstock.
What is it worth?
Thanks
John

Peavey T-40 switches

I just picked up a matching T-40 to my Black/Rosewood T-60 and it needs both the select and phase switches. Been out of town for a couple months and the T-60 site evaporated - yikes, why do people do such things - unfortunate, unanswerable question I know! Anyway - suggestions for the switches?

Thanks,
Scott

The T60 mafia site posted above has a topic under GUITAR TALK, "Replacement part sources".
