Put money down on bass... guy is not replying emails

Sign in to disble this ad
Someone had a Kingston Heir 5 for $350 and I went to look at it at his house on Monday, put $60 down to think it over, then I decided to go for it.

Since Friday, I have tried to get the seller to reply to my many emails and calls, I left several emails and voice mails, tried to be calm and understanding, saying that I hoped nothing was wrong, etc...

Still no response.

I have the address... Should I just go unannounced or wait a little more?

He may have gone for the MLK week-end, who knows, but it's a bit rude.

What do you guys advise me to do?

I really am getting to the point where I want my $60 back and look for something else.

It's flipping upsetting.

Get a reciept for that deposit?

Hopefully, he's just gone for the long weekend. I have to agree leaving without letting you know when he has your cash is pretty crappy!

I'd call again tomorrow and see if you get a response. If not by the end of the day, I'd head over tomorrow evening and cold call.

Hope it works out for you!

Funny how a simple phone call to you would have eliminated all this grief. Some people don't get it do they! Good Luck!

His ad is still up and shows the bass with a SOLD next to it.

I hope he'll be back.

Agreed, shows little respect.

And also lives in a nice neighborhood, big house, clean and obviously doing well. I am sure he's not stealing my $60 but it's pissing me off.

Sounds like you'll be just fine!

My biggest gripe about buying stuff online from private parties is the total lack of communication skills most sellers have. I pm'd a guy about some pups 2 weeks ago, and he never responded. Thread is still up with even more questions from TB'ers.

Let us know what happens!

Post a pic when you get it!
