I don't go on myspace often because i think it's mostly a free for all and I get overhwhelmed but my next door neighbour (also happens to be my brother in law) came over and put on the queen myspace.. I was about to complain till he pointed to a new album release news on there.. the album is called cosmos rocks and naturally i was stoked because they're one of my favorite UK rock bands of all time (if not the top)

they took bad company singer paul rodgers and from what I've heard about their concert reviews the band seems to be on the right track

what do you guys think about a comeback?

Sounds like Paul Rodgers more than Queen to me.

Freddy Mercury 'made' Queen as far as I'm concerned.

The problem is I'm not sure if anyone can ever come close to Freddie Mercury. But I applaud the attempts to give it a try.

I didn't see them in concert but the video clips I saw of the Queen + Paul Rogers shows sounded pretty good. I didn't think Paul Rogers "ruined" anything or can "replace Freddie". I just thought the band on the stage sounded good.

Still, I think it would be cool if they named themselves something else so it didn't appear that they were cashing in on the Queen name. It would also give them some freedom to take any direction they wanted without being limited by the "Queen" label or possibly disappointing hardcore Queen fans in the process.

Regardless, I'll still be interested in how it sounds. Is John Deacon in on this project or is he really done with music for good?

Yeah, I suck, I know that. But at least I suck a little less than I did yesterday.

this is another reason im not into this.... john isnt done with music, john is done with queen... hes gone on record to say that he isnt into this reincarnation because he wanted queen to rest or whatever.... but this new project isnt queen, its brian and roger plus a couple other guys...

Yeah, Freddy would have wanted them to all retire and never play again anyways...

Seriously folks, nobody is going to confuse the old Queen and the new Queen except for those who are new to music, and will it really matter to them? 2 of the original members are still there and they've written songs with a singer who is capable and toured playing Queen's older songs (and probably will again).
