I'm going to see Queens of the Stone age on May 15th in Newfoundland!!!

QOTSA where my favorite band back in the old days, I can't wait, only if dave grohl played with them, that would be...sick! sick! sick!

I got 2 tickets for $40!

Anyone else seeing them on their Canadian tour?

QOTSA are decent. I like listening to them, although I probably wouldn't buy an album.

I saw them live back in 2005 when they were opening for Nine Inch Nails, didn't think that they were that great of a live show. Death From Above 1979 stole that show.

I'm seeing them on the 30th here in Vancouver. Going to be my third time I frickin' love this band, and I actually got a chance to interview Troy Van Leewuen for the youth magazine I work for, which was awesome. Although I think he was a bit drunk at the time.

Now the inevitable question... Who was your favorite bassist? Oliveri was dope imo but I also really really liked Johannes.

I'm missing them this time around, but hey man, enjoy the show. If lowsound was at the same show, I'd aggree that the show was somewhat lackluster. However, everyone I've talked to who'se seen them other times tells me that they're great.

What's the music scene like in St. John's, anyway? I've only been there once and didn't get to stick around as long as I'd like...

I'm pretty sure DFA1979 steals every show they play.

Love QOTSA, big Homme and Castillo fan. Saw them back in 2005, Lulabies tour. They played for over two hours straight - the show was outrageous. Saw them again in the fall in support of the new album - they were 'decent'. Their new bass player/keyboardist just don;t do anything for me live. I wish they woulda had Alain and Natasha back this time around. Hopefully they move on and find some replacements for next time.

that's the one. Nine Inch Nails were pretty good, IMO. I have to say, I really liked the stage set.
