A question about guitar cabinets.

A while back I bought a Fender Prosonic 210 combo amp. Fedex dropped the package and the cabinet was cracked/busted. We'll, they replaced the cabinet, and I & kept the broken one to a build a 210 cab. I've tried out a couple of speakers with the broken cab, and I'm looking to get tight low end from the cab. I've been told the low end will be louder and tighter with a closed back cab. I'm trying to pair this with a Egnater Renegade head.

At this point I've got the old cab fixed up, but don't have the back yet. I'm wondering if 1/4" plywood will work, or should it be 3/4" ply or pine? Also wondering if the cab needs to be sealed like a bass cab or just closed off.

Hoping to wrap this up today.

Thanks
