A Question about a Prince's Guitar tone for you guitar geeks

If anyone of you could be so kind as to download this song its Prince-"The Question Of You" Live... i dont know much about effects but i love the tone he has on his solo in this song, if any one can decipher what he possibly would have used to get that tone (to the best of your ability) i would really appreciate it..because i want my band to cover that song and i wanna learn that solo and need the tone to make it authentic...thank you to anyone who takes a chance on this

First Off, PRINCE ROCKS. that cat can kick out the jam like crazy. It sounds like he's got some nice distortion on their too.

I'd say there's some reverb going on there. High output pickups on his guitar perhaps, or low output pickups with high gain on the amp.
