question for Miles Davis fans

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello,
Does anyone have the Cassandra Wilson cd "Travelling Miles"?
The picture on the back cover that looks like a pose from a Miles Davis photo shoot, does anyone know what that picture is? I think the Cassandra Wilson photo is a copy of a MD pic, and I'm dying to know which one! Went through all of my Miles stuff, no luck. Somebody help me!

Yeah, I've heard that disc. Pretty good stuff. I think it's like "The Miles Davis Story" pose, but that print was on something else before that, I'm not sure what.
Here's a picture:

That Miles' DVD is excellent & can be picked up from the Downtown Music Gallery for about $14.
In addition to the DVD, I think that cover photo has also popped up on a recent "Best Of Miles" 2-CD set.
The 'original' source of the photo shoot? I'm not sure.
(My guess is a Gil Evans' thing)

Thanks guys! JimK, I was thinking it was a Gil Evans thing, but I wasn't having any luck. It does look like the cover of that dvd though. I do have it, and it is really good. Have you seen the new one about his electric stuff? I think it's great, I love it.

It's a bit like the cover of "Milestones" - that era of CBS album covers?
