Free Fallin' by Tom Petty is wicked easy.
'Louie, Louie' is 3 chords. Crappy song, but easy, and a crowd pleaser.
Some of the Radiohead stuff is really easy. "Creep" is G-B-C-Cm on the verses. The same chord progression is on the choruses with that distortion on the guitars. Easy.
Some of the early Beatles stuff is easy. "Saw Her Standing There" is pretty easy to pick up within a practice.
"Beat It" by Mr. Jackson is pretty easy if you try to do it your own style. The verses and chorus are all that bass riff that we all know. The bridge into the chorus is something like a IV-IV-IV-IV-III change. Pretty simple, and everyone knows it.
"I wanna be sedated" is an easy one, too. 'Nuff said.
"December" by Collective Soul is is the same 4-ish chords/riff for the whole song. Again, the distortion and a bit tastier guitar parts are tossed onto the choruses.
Bohemian Rhapsody... oh wait... that one's kinda tough. Never mind.
If you can get some easy, cheesy pop songs and throw on some distortion on the guitar, that's always a crowd pleaser. Always. A good example is that "Push It Real Good" song from the '80s (Salt 'n Peppa?). Get that riff down, throw on the distortion, bang on the drums a bit harder, and occasionally throw out "Push it.... Push it real good!" and you're done. There's a few others, but I can't think of them off hand.
Good luck.
