Quite possible the most inappropriate name we've come up with...

Sign in to disble this ad
Me and my friend are interested in starting a small jazz band (because I know some people that can get us some easy gigs) and we were struggling to come up with a name that was interesting, funny, and extremely inappropriate at the same time...

And thus, the greatets band name ever was forged.

Captain Wacktastic and The Chicken Chokers... too immature?

I personally find it ingenius, but then again, I'm 16... anything sexual is funny to me...

I'm not going to speak to the first part of that name...

But as far as "Chicken Chokers" is concerned...

....I'm assuming that refers to your sax player(s)?

Actually we were pretty much just going for the sexual reference, but sure let's go with that.

It's puerile and unfunny. Indicative of your ages, I'm sure; but as a band name, it's a throwaway.

Lame. Sorry. I mean, that kind of thing was around when I was your age. As a clue to when that was, there were no cell phones, PCs, hand-held calculators, CDs, MP3s, TV remotes, GPS, laser pointers, or anything digital. We did have record players and TVs though.

Anyway, just go with The Pneumatic Tools.

If thats the most inappropriate name that a 16 yr old can come up with; You Fail as a teenager.
And Jazz isnt the place for that sort of name anyway, if you want to call your band 'Captain Taint and the Cornhole commandos' form a rock band.

Ha! Not even almost a Rock band sort of name. Rock n Roll at most. So young people don't have the best ideas for names? It's the music that is the important part.

As long as you know this was posted as a joke...

Me and my friend were screwing around with names and felt the urge to post that one. It's obviously not going anywhere.

I found it funny......

But I'd probably go for something like The Engorged P***ses, but only if it was a punk band. Otherwise, it's a bit out of place.

Yeah, summer creates boredom and boredom creates stupid jokes and the creation of stupid jokes in addition with intense boredom drives you to post stupid stuff all over the internet...

And regardless, it was a serious consideration for a punk rock band... and I don't mean the stuff that calls itself punk today like Green day and Good Charlotte, I mean like Sex Pistols, the clash, ramones type stuff...

It's 4:40AM here. Monitor a data center for 12 hrs a night. There's lots of time when things Arent broken- So, Surfs Up! in fact there are nights I might have five or six browser windows open to personal websites (thats on top of the 20 or so windows I have open for work tools).
And slow times are nice, but when things break, and a multi national website goes down, your world has quickly gone to hell.
