Bass player and leader of Byron Lee and the Dragonaires died on the 4th of November 2008, aged 73. One of Jamaica's most respected musicians. If you are a James Bond fan, you may recall the Puss Feller's night club scene from "Dr. No". The band at the club playing "Jump Up" was Mr. Lee's (View "Dr. No" trailer here and hear the band from 1:02 to 1:16).

On a personal note, I must say that "Tiney Winey", a smash hit from the band that was heard everywhere in my town in 1986 (the year in which I started playing bass), was one of the very first songs I tried to play along with the recording. That's enough for me to keep Mr. Byron Lee in my memories. Rest In Peace.
