I just found out that Steve Jobs passed today. A true visionary of our time, one who singlehandedly changed the music business.
While I have not always agreed with his positions and how his introduction of the iPod has effected musicians, I still marvel at his ability to see greater then any of us could, and I wish I had half the vision he did.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and loved ones. May Steve now find peace in the afterlife, free of the pain and illness he suffered with for over a decade.
R.I.P. Steve Jobs. Godspeed.

Steve Jobs changed the way that the world views and interacts with technology. His company is still the undisputed leader in ergonomic design and so far, no one has been able to catch up or get even close.
Their concepts are so advanced they need only FOUR basic products to become the second largest company in the USA. Quite an accomplishment, Mr. J.
By the way, I was not an Apple fan until I bought my iPhone. It is so easy and intuitive to use I was astounded, and it made me wonder why the other makers can't get out of their engineering-driven ruts to make products for humans.

Not content to stop there he revolutionized communications, entertainment and the like.
Although the tablet computer was not a new idea at the time, Steve Jobs and his cohorts found a way to make the tablet computer work for people that other companies attempts failed at.
I believe I do owe Mr Jobs a huge thank you, for one, I first became computer literate on a Mac Classic.
RIP MR Jobs and thank you for EVERYTHING you either originated and/or vastly improved on.

| | | | Until a month ago, when I bought my first PC laptop, I have used Macs my entire life, from Apple IIs in the middle school during the early and mid-eighties, to the Mac Classic I had in college, to the G3 desktop and then G4 Powerbook Ti that finally became completely obsolete this year. The only reason I didn't buy another Mac is because right now I just can't afford one. If it's possible to love a line of computers, I loved my Macs. My Lenovo feels cheap by comparison.
It will be interesting to see what happens to Apple stock in the coming year.
