What are your opinions on racing stripes on basses and guitars? I like them. One of my guitars has one. It's the Tom DeLonge Epiphone ES-333.

So I can't get photos up on mobile. Here's a link. http://m.flickr.com/photos/63676571@...2658/lightbox/

I like the stripes on the Mustangs too! I do like the stripes on the Tom DeLonge model. That little name plate under the strings,up against the neck always makes me look twice. I keep thinking it`s a mini pickup.

Racing stripes are ok, but only if you play really fast.

I may be wrong, but I thought Pilgrim had a Bronco decked out with a stripe and it looked great.

I think so as well. His is a bit sideways though, more like a side stripe than a hood/roof/trunk stripe.

Haha it's for truss rod adjustments I believe. Not sure though. It's a great guitar.

I'm thinking about putting one like the Mustangs have on my old Squier strat after I put a new pickup and pickguard.
