Rack Tuner options

Not sure if this in the right place, but...

I'm looking for a rack mounted tuner and don't want to spend hundreds of dollars for such a thing.

What is out there besides the Fender RT-1000 and Korg DTR's that is reasonably priced and has a mute button? (please don't even mention the $500+ Peterson).

Is the Behringer BTR2000 a piece of junk?

How many of you prefer a pedal tuner and why?

A Korg DTR-1000 or DTR-1 or DTR-2 second hand isnt too expensive

Very nice, I've been waiting for a rack tuner from Peterson for quite some time. Thanks for the info.

Boss TU-2

I've been using one of these for several years and like it alot. The LEDs are bright and I can see them when I'm playing outdoors in fairly bright sunlight. I set it for bass guitar, half step flat and it locks right onto each of the (5) strings. I prefer the simulated strobe mode -- we call it 'Cylon' mode because sequencing Leds look like something from Battlestar Galactica :-) Just stomp on it to mute everything and tune up.

I had a Sabine rack tuner for a while, but got tired of having to walk back to the rack and mute things when I tuned. Plus I think the flashing and flailing of the tuner lights is kind of annoying / distracting while the band's playing.

The Behringer has worked fine for me + I like the rack light illuminating the front panel of my GK 700RB-II.

The behringer works, but the korg is faster and more accurate, and you can get one used for $40 more than the behringer. Go korg (or fender, i haven't tried it but it's supposed to be nice).
