Rackmount case recommendation needed...

Sign in to disble this ad
My old 4-space SKB case that housed my amp and tuner recently broke on me. So, now I'm in the market for a 3-space case. I initially was just going to get another SKB case but wanted to know if there are other brands that I should consider. I'm looking for something lightweight, durable and less expensive. I've looked at Gator but thougth the quality wasn't as good as the SKB.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

I don't think you're going to find better-lighter-cheaper.
I have a SM500 in a gator case thats just fine for around town work but I haven't seen any poly rack that I would call a "Road Case".

There's some military stuff out there thats poly but you can forget about cheap.

I just picked up a Road Worthy case off ebay cheap thats a effing tank. You could shoot that thing to the moon and back but it weighs about 3x what a poly case does.

Moved to Misc. It should get more responses there.

I have a Gator and I am very pleased with it. I personally think its as good as an SKB.

Check out Roady Ready cases ... much better quality than SKB for the price.

I've got a Cadence ATA 4 space that's holding up well, and it's deep enough for QSC RMX amps(SKB can't say that).
