Railroad Earth

Anyone here know of a band called Railroad Earth?? A friend of mine has become obsessed with them recently and it's starting to rub off on me. Very talented, unique sounding band. It's hard to describe. I guess it's like a jamband with bluegrass/country influences. They make good use of banjos, violins, acoustic (upright) bass, piano etc. Mostly acoustic instruments, maybe all.
Anyway, check 'em out if you're looking for something new (and enjoy feeling a little bit like a redneck).

Railroad Earth is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. I saw them a few weeks ago, and i was very impressed. They, along with Yonder Mountain String Band, Hot Buttered Rum, Nickel Creek etc.. are starting this new age bluegrass thing. I for one am digging it.

Yeah it's definitely an acquired taste. The first time I heard my friend play their CD I was like "What is this redneck sh**!?". Once I heard the song "Mighty River", I was hooked. It just makes me so happy!

What I've heard, I've really liked.
