Finally got my deluxe edition of the long awaited seventh record from my favorite group of all time today!!!

I had already heard all the racks via their myspace demo-ing, but it's nice to have the physical copy.

We have: 19 new tracks, 8 of which are recorded acoustically on another disc, a making-of-the-record DVD, 3 giant posters, and 4 guitar picks. SWEET!!!

I think the record's the perfect mix of Rancid styles: ska, straight forward punk, a little hip-hop groove style, and some new country and acoustic influences we haven't heard so much before. Awesome. Also, the record artwork, and the track listing on the disc it'self are "...And Out Come the Wolves" style. Totally awesome.

I've loved this band forever, and with this new record, my love only grows!

Not heard it yet, not planning on buying it without listening first. One of my friends is getting it, so will listen to it at his.

Must admit that I'm not too hopeful, used to be a massive rancid fan, but got to the stage where I can only listen to Rancid (the first one), Let's Go and Life Won't Wait all the way through, the other albums have some good songs, but are pretty filler-ific IMO. I think seeing them live is what put me off them to be honest.

The best Rancid album is the Operation Ivy discography disc.

If you're a huge Rancid Fan, I have an early Epitaph records promo kit from the first album, it came with a stencil and spray paint and a letter asking to go out and help promote!

The only album of theirs I liked was "...And out come the Wolves" Is this one anything like it? Any songs in particular?

Op Ivy is still my favorite punk band. I'm glad Tim and Matt are still at it.

The dvd has some cool footage. If you don't mind black n white posterized video. The interview with Matt gives you insight into his rig. He has his 83? P-bass going into an Avalon U5 pre-amp to an SVT5-Pro and classic 8x10. Hes getting this really cool blended OD and clean sound that I couldn't put my finger on until now. I liked most of the acoustic stuff. And his rap on "I aint worried" and the boom-shaca-lacka thing on "LA River" is pretty funny.

I'm totally disappointed with the new CD. They seem to have totally lost their energy and fire! I got the CD at Target for $8.00 (that was nice) listened to it once. Put it in the CD rack. I was bummed.

I know it's been many years since the glory days of Let's Go/..And Out Come The Wolves but come on!!! Get pissed off again and show us what you guys can REALLY do.

I didn't want to hear "progressive" Rancid trying new things. That's not what I listen to them for. Hopefully they still have "IT" live.

Have heard most of it on the myspace demo's. Other than some weird vocals on a couple songs, it sounds good to me.

I gotta say, I used to be all about "the fire" when I was younger, but subdued is fine for me nowadays. Also, you've gotta remember that these guys are now in their late thirties and early-mid fourties; a good deal of their youthful angst has naturally calmed. Although listen to the track "This Place"- maybe one of the hardest hitting Rancid tracks to date.

They definitely still have it live too. I'm in Pittsburgh for the summer and they're not coming here, but hopefully I'll be able to make it out to Philli for that show, I can't miss them!
