Hey guys, I've always found these kind of things fun, where you get to show off what you have and rate what other people have.

Rules:
-Only post your main setup(Try to keep it to a single bass, only post the rack/amps/cabinets that you use most often in a live performance).
-You can post pictures if you want.
-Please rate the above poster's rig out of 10. Also make sure to quote the setup of the poster you are rating to make sure there aren't any accidental double ratings/anybody getting skipped.

I'll start it off. My main setup is:

Music Man Stingray 4(red sparkle sunburst)

Toneworks AX1B multieffects pedal

Rack:
Furman PL-Pro power conditioner
Line6 Bass Pod PRO(non-xt, old school etc...)
Sunn1200s

Schroeder 410 cabinet

I'll give yours a 7 out of 10. Mainly because I know you have a sweet sounding amp/head combo. I'm not familiar with your bass though, that's why I didn't give a higher score.

I'd say 6/10. Not a fan of the 4pro, or 5 strings...although I did look up your bass on Valenti's site. Very nice. Don't know much about Schroeder stuff so no comment there.

Just so you know,I'm not breaking this rule and simply listing everything I own... I do really use all that live. Unfortunately I'm not really sure what the state of our band is right now so I don't know when I'll be using all of this again.

fjbass78: 8/10 because of the simplicity and because i really like Lakland and 5-strings.

My set up:

Basses:
Squier DLX Active Jazz 5(flats)
Ibanez SDGR 5(rounds)
Cort P-bass(tapes)

Amp:
1979 Peavey 260 C

Also, i use a Line 6 Bass Pod for EQing/effects/ and as a DI.

CBgaragebassist: 7/10. I'm not a huge fan of the active J-bass. Had one for awhile and I just couldn't tweak it enough to my liking. It's a good looking bass though. Also not a fan of Ibanez, BUT I did look yours up and, once again, looks killer. I do respect the P-bass though. I also looked up your amp and I have to respect the simplicity of it. I don't like a ton of knobs on my amp(kinda ironic when you hear what I have). Finally, I'm not to partial to Line 6. They do have some great stuff. But they also have some bad.

Here's mine.

Rack:
Furman Merit M-8LX Power Conditioner
Gallien-Krueger 1001RB-II
Sansamp RPM Preamp
Sennheiser EW 172 G2 Wireless System

Pedal Board:
SansAmp Bass Driver DI
Boss GEB-7 Bass Equalizer
Boss ODB-3 Bass Over Drive
Boss TU-2 Chromatic Tuner
Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2+ Power Supply

Cab:
Gallien-Krueger 810BLX-II

8 out of 10. Would be a 9 or 9.5 except for the Hartke cab, which I am personally not a fan of in any incarnation. Everything else lends a lot of versatility and a nice, cutting sound. RBI is a great accessory and the X2 wireless uinits are great. Delicious basses too (see my sig)

My rig:

Genz Benz GBE 1200/Mesa Fathom (M6 Carbine)
Genz Benz Uber 410
Warwick Thumb NT 5 hotrodded w/ an Audere 4Z pre and Barden pups.

It's hard to establish just which of my amp setups is the main one, but I'll try to stay within the spirit of this thread.

Main bass: G&L JB-2 USA (the passive J that goes to 11, and has 22 frets)

Pedals: ancient Jax volume pedal into Boss 3-space board with noise gate, octaver and stereo chorus

Amps; this is where it can vary, depending on the venue. I have it figured out as follows:

"Mini-rig of doom"= Genz Benz shuttle 3.0 combo (1x10T) atop Ampeg VR-2 ("mini SVT") 2x10 cab, totalling 300w in mono.

"Standard Stack" = Genz Benz GBE400 atop a pair of LS112s for 330w in mono.

Add MROD to my GBE400 atop a single LS112 cab on the other side of the stage, and you have "Stereo 500." Guitarrist puts his Zinky 1x12 combo atop my LS112, and we roar. Very versatile setup, but I have no control over the volume on the other side of the stage.

"Fatal 505"= my GBE 400 powering a pair of LS112s on my side of the stage, with my Shuttle combo on the other side also feeding the PA via the DI out, and the whole thing run in stereo.

"Smash 630" = Standard Stack and MROD, running in stereo. To date, I have yet to use this setup, but I know that the earth could move if I did.

My nicknames for these setups involve the total RMS wattage figures. My band is just a trio that does covers and "rockaroke" nights that can be a real hoot. For special events, we sometimes increase to a 5-piece, with a 2nd guitarrist and a front-man, and a massive planet-pounding PA. Our standard PA is usually a pair of airborne 15's or 12's (depending on the venue) and we sometimes run four 12's. No 2 gig setups are ever quite the same, since all 3 band members own PA's; we just mix & match to make everything work, and go out & knock 'em dead.
