Rated "R" for Retarded "Throwdown"

I went to see Soilwork last night who was headlining for the "Hardcore" band Throwndown. Besides being a total Hatebreed ripoff, at the end of the show some straight edgers (who even knew they were still around) jumped up on stage and got their asses kicked by security. I guess the bass player wasn't to happy about that and he smashed and EB Music Man HH on stage. Smashing a bass at Woodstock in the name of metal in front of 150,000 fans is one thing but in a 500 person venue just because you got some straight edger sweat on your arm is pretty not hardcore IMO.

I didn't even know that Throwdown was still around.... I saw them in '99 or so w/ Agnostic Front (..... I think they opened up for AF but I don't remember...). They were alright from what I remember....

I used to play in a band with a couple of sXe kids back in the day.... They made me want to break things too ..... They were the most frustrating duo I ever had to work with.

You know, that's a really good question.... I've hung out with quite a few in my younger days and it was different from each one that I talk to.

All of them that I have met didn't drink, smoke or do recreational drugs. But, I've also met some that go so far as to not have sex, drink caffiene, or even use foul language..... I don't know, at that time in my life, stuff like that was unheard of to me .......

To each his own.... The two guys that I used to jam with weren't bad guys at all, just seemed like they were on a high horse all the time. Needless to say they aren't "sXe" anymore. I actually started talking to one of 'em and we were talking about jammin again..... He drinks occasionally now and is doing good. The other one is now a hobo / gypsy in Minnesota now, I think. Last time I saw him he was so ripped he almost didn't recognize me.

Pretty funny....

They have a song with such thought provoking lyrics as:

"and that's all there is
to say. but i've got one thing left to say."

huh?

HA.....

Yeah, one of the cats I mentioned above had a smokin' hot GF that he never had sex with ..... He said he had too much respect for her to think of her in that way ...... ***?.... I told him, and I quote "That's the biggest crock of **** I've ever heard in my LIFE!!!!".

She had enough respect for him to leave him and go lesbo ...

Pwned.

Everyone is free to thier own opinions, however, you might want to look at a genre called "metalcore", it is the definition of ****

I never understood straightedge. I mean, if I'm an a hole, at least I can fall back on the beer, or whatever, but these guys are just a holes with nothing but their own personalities to blame. Sheer genius.

"stream of diarrhoea" might be more appropriate!
