They're reuniting for Coachella. I don't know if they plan on taking the reunion further than that (I don't think it's likely that they will).

One can only hope.

I'm simply not an Audioslave fan at all and I'll just leave it at that.

Even though they are all political... the rumor is they are forming back for this show for a very large sum of money.

ya cause they don't all have enough money as it is.

nah, if zack cared about money he would have released numerous solo albums and totally surfed that wave. but he didn't, although he was working on an album... it was never released. he also didn't own any rights to the bands name... his choice.

there's definitely something behind this. we just gotta wait and see.

I suppose it's quite sad in that they're getting back together for one show, raising the hopes of millions of fans around the world and then calling it a day. Maybe the show will inspire them to give it another go, who knows.

Personally, I'm not bothered if they reform for good or not.

I think it's cool. I guess they missed the good times. Maybe there is money invovled, maybe a DVD, and it's a massive publicity stunt from the festival organisers, but I give the guys the benefit of the doubt. I think it's just four blokes jamming together for old times sake. No massive commitments, no record contract, just a weekend on the road

Put me in the minority, but I like Audioslave. The first album was a bit dissapointing. The second one was pretty good, but Revolutions is where they hit their stride. Don't judge unless you've really given Revolutions a good listen. Tim's bass playing is really strong, and they really sound like a band hitting on all cylinders.

In contrast to you, I think Audioslave has failed to capture the energy of which they started with in recent recordings. Cochise (and the video) were amazing, but since then...

well, I heard that audioslave will not be releasing another album. If things go well in cali for RATM, then I think they might do it - there is lots of political motivation for them at the moment, so they might feel like the time is right. Audioslave sound allright, but I think the vocals are self indulgent and lacking any real meaning (compared to RATM). I would love to them as I never did.

just the opposite IMO. First album, really good, lots of energy. Second, just as good. Third was super cheesy with some seriously lame lyrics. That being said, there were some good songs, and Timmy C's bass playing is solid.

Didn't think the first Audioslave album was anything special, thought the second one was fantastic and the third, well I didn't hear much of it but Original Fire was seriously bad IMO.

I think when RATM do this show, they will get back together and tour, if they are doing it for money reasons then they would be crazy not to.
