Ray Charles: Blues man.

Picked up a Ray Charles CD the other day. It was one of those cheaper end of the market compilations.

Before hand I'd never listened to Ray Charles and I don't know anything about the guy even now. But his blues / jazz is superb. There's little info on the cover. But it sounds as though the CD was recorded in the 1950s or something. It seems to be a jazz quartet with guitar. Sometimes it seems as though he's heading a small band.

The disc is by Time Music, number TM1209.

Anyway, for blues material, Ray Charles is certainly worth a listen.
