RB or monocase?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys, I couldn't find anything like this, so hopefully its in the right place/hasn't been done before. If there is a better section for this thread mod's please move it

I'm moving all my HSC's to storage to save space and debating which gig bag to buy.

I've used the Igig 525 in the past, which is great, but I think I'd rather go with a monocase or reunion blues this time around. The Igig tended to bend stacked knobs if anything was left in the front pocket. I'd like to avoid this in the future.

I was wondering how the RB and mono compare in durability, storage, and safety.
Pros, cons, and success stories welcome.

Thanks!

Problems with Mono Dual...

I voted RB not because I know that case, I do not, but rather because I am unhappy that my pricey Mono Dual has problems.

It has issues: two broken zipper pulls, a name plate which fell off (trivial, I know, but it left two shabby looking holes in the center of the main back pocket), it is heavy, and the strap design is unwieldy. I actually kinda like it for what it does (holds two basses and some kit), but it is not really rugged enough, IMHO. I travel and fly a lot.

thanks for the words jim!
I'm impressed with the reunion blues Continental after watching a video of them throwing it off a 3 story building. I've never seen mono attempt anything like that. It gives me alot of faith in the RB product
