Reading realbooks from an e-reader?

I have 5 fakebooks and I study bass in college. Would it be wise for me to get say a nook color or another type of e-reader to read all of my charts on, or is it just not worth it due to the small screen?

I use the iReal Book with my iTouch all the time, works great.

Although having the actual book is always better.

I think using an iPad or something like that would work great.
I heard someone talk about an app ("Unreal Book" or something like that) that really works great.
